Sweet Boy and Sassy Senior October 17th, 2009 I'm having internet issues tonight, so I can't really say if this will be uploaded tonight or not. Or perhaps its not even internet issues - could just be facebook. I suddenly have ZERO friends and no photo albums. So lets hope my clients today check the blog for sneak peeks as the sneak peeks may not be coming to facebook afterall! Fall in Ohio + Day Five October 16th, 2009 Today I have a sinus thing going on and was cold, and so wanted to use it as an excuse to not do the P90X program today. But I know myself very well... and if I postpone one day, that could easily turn into a dozen, and then not doing it all together. Next thing ya know, I'd be back on Mt Dew and out of shape... again. So I did it. Kenpo today. I thought it'd be a blast... and it is. I'm a huge Rocky and Charlie's Angel type fan, loving all that kicking butt and taking names. However it was more icky then I expected. I hate sweating, and while I've been doing that a lot this week, not as much as tonight!!! I finally backed off when my heart rate was 168 - the highest yet. But hey, I did it, and for a week it's over. Tommorrow I have three sessions schedule and will have tons of shares over the next few days. Today however I went out and took shots of ''Crop''s - the secret ingrediant to a photo shootout I sometimes take part in. Here's some I came up with. ![]() This shot is my first entry. Not sure what my second will be. ![]() ![]() A Popcorn field ![]() Isn't this just the typical country scene for this time of year in Northwest Ohio? Day Four October 15th, 2009 Today was a beautiful day! Yes, rainy and cold, but I love rainy weather.
I went to walmart and then to volunteer at school. My plan was to come home and do day four of P90X afterwards before the kids got home, but was glued to my television instead watching the saga unfold of the UFO and missing boy in Colorado. I'll tell ya, I prayed and prayed as I watched the balloon zoom through the air. I cried tears of joy when I saw how it came to a soft, suttle landing. Then was absolutely sickened when I saw the video of the basket falling off from early on in the flight. :( I was at Mc Donald's with the kiddos when I got a call that he was OK and found hiding at the family home. I feel bad that the boy was yelled at so badly that he felt like he should go hide, but so proud of his dad FOR yelling at his son when he had gotten in the balloon earlier in the day. Makes me look around the house to see what might be more dangerous then I imagine it is. Luckily the kids were fine letting me excercise after homework was done and I got to do arms, legs, and ab ripper. Ab ripper was insane. Seriously. The people who do that are absolutely crazy. Ok, yeah, so I'm one of them now, lol. Day Three and Nataley October 14th, 2009 Today I had a DRs appt., as well as Nataley, and when it became apparent after lunch that making it back into Van Wert for less then two hours of school seemed pointless... so to the mall we went. It was quite the trip. We actually hit the shoestore before the DRs as I arrived to the 'big city' early. Nataley ''needed'' a pair of high heels that were school appropriate. Thankfully we found just the pair. ![]() After the docs, we met up with Gramma Beth for lunch. A new coat later we went to the mall and she made out like crazy with tons of new clothes. As if that wasn't enough, then we went to an accessory store for mommy - lots of feathers and bling :) And wouldn't you know it Nataley found something she loved too? ![]() It was the first 'no' she got all day with the plush and not at all functional fur scarf. The truth is, today was the first of what is sure to be other shopping days out of school. There were several years in a row where I didn't go to school Fridays. It was to Chi-Chis and then the mall. I didn't 'skip' as I was going with my mother. And my moms logic was I had fabulous grades. If I ever would have faltered I'm sure the shopping would have ceased. But I kept doing better and better at school, and the perks just kept getting bigger and bigger. Now there are laws in place (my parents swear my brother and I are the reasons for such laws) that the kids can't miss so many days - my worst year (or best?) was with 32 absences. Today they alert childrens services and call that neglect. (For the record though, Nataley really DID have a DRs appt. that's an hour away from where we live). For me, and mom, we just call it memories. Today was also day 3 of P90 Extreme. It was a 'rest' day for my body, which on this program means 90 minutes of the most intense Yoga I've ever done. I LOVE this program. I'm seriously already feeling and seeing results in three measely little days. It's an internal thing for now though - no I don't have the perfect body yet ;) LOL. It's not all about exercise of course. There is also a pretty strict diet to go with this program. I'm not as strict as I should be (After all, Mc Donalds is having the monopoly right now, and it's my turn to win!!!) but I have been drinking 3 liters of water per day, more fruits, more protein, and way less carbs. So far, so good. Tomorrow is Arms and Ab Rippers... and I'm a bit scared. Just the sound... ab ripper. I can feel the soreness already! Day One of 90 October 12th, 2009 So today was day one of 90 horrible days of misery... err... or something like that. Hubby purchased the P90X program which is an extreme workout program. It's not for those trying to loose tons of weight - you have to already be living an active and healthy lifestyle. In fact, there is a pretest for your fitness level before you even begin and I barely passed it, lol. I know I'm not the most fit person, obviously, but I sure thought I was a bit better than I am. But anyway... I'm doing the 'lean' program - or the girlie version - which is less bulking up, and more yoga and sculpting. My goal is to have my bottom moved back to where it use to be (and shrunk, along with the hips), a trimmer waistline, and really fabulous shoulders/arms. My ultimate desire would to be in size four jeans again, but can live just fine being in my 7s. I've had three kids, I can be realistic here. I did my first program - today was synergistics. Ouch. I did a LOT better at some things then I thought I could and more push ups then I would ever want to do... EVER. The program is great though. I think the most you work on any one exercise is about 2 minutes, so it's not at all borring. It's all mixed together so that even though today was all about the core, there was also cardio and yoga with traditional stuff. So along with my first program and taking measurements today, hubby and I went to the studio to take 'before' pics of each other. If I tell the world what I'm up to and embarass myself with the before shots, then I thought that, along with my stubborness, I would have better staying power with the program. So here is my first shot - Day 1 of 90. . ![]() depending on how this goes, the photos might get bigger :) Session with Tyler October 11th, 2009 Well I've discovered if my camera and lenses remain at the studio, I tend to not update the blog. Good news though, after my session with Tyler yesterday I brought the gear home. I'm eager to head out and take some shots of leaves changing. It's so pretty. I don't like the idea of winter coming one bit - I despise being cold - however I do like having the change of seasons. Yeah, I'm a fickle one. ![]() After what seemed like an eternity of rain we got a bright and beautiful day for Tyler's session. The second shot isn't really a traditional senior picture, but just one I snapped quickly while we were out at Rotary fields. I loved how the clouds dotted the blue sky behind him. Not an Interesting Update October 5th, 2009 Consider this your official disclaimer. This isn't a very interesting update. I haven't been to the studio, and don't plan to be for a few more days. The studio is where my camera is. So, no new pics. I'm filled with ickies at the moment. Hubby has one theory on what's wrong, I have another, and I'm not posting all the symptoms here or I'm sure half of the reader's will diagnos me with H1N1, lol. In the AM I have a DR appt and will go with his diagnosis instead :) But never fear. I couldn't possibly go a day longer without a post... and what's a post without a pic? So I went through the memory card to pull out one of Christopher from a few days back with the boys. ![]() I'm excited to start using my new drop on those not related to me, lol. Boys Turn October 2nd, 2009 It was the boys' turn today to let me play with the new snow backdrop. ![]() I loooooooovvveeeee my newest shot of Joshua. *sigh* What a cutie I have, if I do say so myself. :) Angelic Mini Session October 1st, 2009 I've been planning this special for a long time and so happy to finally introduce you to my latest whimsical mini-session - Snow Angels. ![]() |
